The software writers will do their best, and with A.I. will come close, but the solution will not be in additional software. The solution will be a "cousin" of the current, PHYSICAL, "brute force-high electric use" mining that is the backbone of Bitcoin. The solution will be some physical, rare, and individual. The solution to THE Quantum issue will, when implemented, also spill over to all other encryption problems in all other areas. The solution that will come for the encryption issue will also change the earth just as Bitcoin is. The solution will be simple. It will be as simple as an airgap, fingerprint, or pressure sensor, or some combination of them. Do I know what the solution will be ? No. What I do know is that human innovation, optimism, and ingenuity have no bounds, and this will happen. I Also absolutely know that "Quantum Computing" is, at least 10 years off at minimum.
