That’s absolutely something to celebrate 🥳 Happy Birthday to us friend 🎂! (It’s my bday too ☺️)

Turning 35 today 🎂! The last five years flew by while I was deep in self-healing by isolating in nature, finding God, and using every free resource I could find to grow. My birthday always got sidelined growing up (one of six kids, two weeks after Christmas). But, as an adult, I see all the free ways they could’ve made me feel special. So I heal another piece of my inner child today: bought myself the saxophone I lost when our home was foreclosed in ‘08. Most of my childhood things are gone—mom’s alcoholism and an abusive marriage left scars (I was spared physically, but the hurt was real). My journey is not over! I’m not where I want to be, but I have far surpassed my goal from five years ago. My greatest gifts are that God lights my path and my husband never gives up on me ❤️. Today and until I decide to put it down again, I’ll play for fun and make a ‘joyful noise for Jesus’, the little girl I once was, and the woman I am today. Thank you God for another trip around the sun 🙏. #HBD TO ME! **Stay tuned for #SaxForSats 😂🎷✨
