Moody day on the Marsh.

It’s that time of year again! We’ve retreated into the riverbeds to escape the heat. This incredible spot is our new favourite swimming hole. Couldn’t believe we had it to ourselves all afternoon. Hard to capture how magical this was.

Guess who’s back together!? 🥾 🐾

Met an off grid elderly woman who deletes each text she receives on her flip phone because “the data centers are large and full”. While being completely left behind by technology, she is still thriving on her own land. She snared our supper, and taught me all about the local birds. How lovely it is to learn from experts in their own fields. Don’t dismiss non-technical people as invaluable. There’s more to learn about then what’s on your screen.

If there’s one lesson I’ve learnt, it’s to always, ALWAYS bring a headlamp. I swear this was just going to be an evening stroll, but I thought I saw mushrooms up there. 😅
