Nothing could go wrong with that… Voters could never be negatively influenced because of their “wrong views” The fact that a majority suppressed a minority is the problem let alone other factors that could cause more harm than good for just less than 1/2 of the population. This is how amazing people like Hitler came to power. We need a leaderless society where all groups can experiment on what makes their success work. Where anyone can decide what group best fits their needs. Progress can be both faster and slower all at the same time, every group can be better isolated from others choices and failures. Each group can take or leave what other groups consider successful. All voters commit with their respective interests and goals. No leaders just groups of people rowing together.

Balance is such a terrible thing to chase. Sure it is good to practice balance whenever possible, it keeps you nimble. It is simply unsustainable long term and too easy to lose without constant effort. When things are really out of control or you are exhausted from the struggle, you need to learn to harmonize with the jazz of life. Not everybody can achieve Herbie Hancock levels but once you find that groove, it’s sustainable for as long as the music is playing.

The only way you can fix someone else is to be the best you, you can be and inspire someone else to say I want that. Also you cannot target who you inspire or for what reasons they take inspiration from you. Most of the time you won’t even know you were the inspiration.

My greatest disappointment is not that the people around me are passionate about the causes that they think are important. It is their belief that they need to be passionate for everyone else’s cause and not their own. I guess it better than no passion at all. I just hate seeing them cutting off their own nose to spite their face.
