I agree that Bitcoin makes it harder for them to steal from us, but History shows us that if those at the top want to whittle our numbers down, well, wars, famines and similar events do tend to happen on a fairly frequent basis... Yes, the idea of "automated space communism" isn't very likely to be our future without a lot of changes first. Those people at the top of the pyramid really don't want to not be at the top anymore and will fight tooth and nail to keep us down and out. Those who have control of the means of production as always are the ones who win out, not the ones actually doing the work. AI *could* lead to a world where we all have the ability to make things from scratch and live self sovereign lives but they will oppose that at every corner and deny us a way up. This is probably why they are trying to force Digital Identity on us now - so we are totally under their control when the dam breaks...
