This painting is of my daughter. I painted it 20 years ago. The scenery is on the east coast of Taiwan. The painting is currently hanging at my parents’ house. My daughter is now 23 and is teaching kindergarten in South Korea.

That is a very skilled caricature artist. Big exaggeration yet still captured the likenesses. I was a mediocre caricature artist at Disney World. I mostly just turned people into cute cartoons. They didn’t encourage us to do the really big exaggerations.

The first time I used strike to pay my mortgage I got super worried because it didn’t show up on the day it was due (on Strikes end) but the bank got the money. It just showed up on strike later. Strike is useful to pay fiat bills, and stack sats. Just remember to decide how much you are willing to possibly lose and withdraw to your own wallet. There’s always the possibility that something like FTX could happen again. Whenever I accumulate a specific amount of sats, it auto-transfers some of it to my cold storage. I leave some on for bills. Some people diss strike because you don’t hold your own keys but until every business accepts bitcoin and all income comes as bitcoin we’ll need some sort of middleman to navigate fiat-world.

We need more zapping here on Nostr. Zapping is one if the big advantages of Nostr over big tech social media. We can reward people for posts we like directly peer to peer. People don’t need to be subservient to an algorithm controlled by big tech oligarchs. If you don’t want to give 21 sats to people because some day 21 sats will equal a whole meal then lower your amount. I typically zap 7 sats.
