What do you currently use Urbit for?
Have you guys looked into building on top of NewPipe and similar? That's what I'd do. Fork, make sexy, add Nostr social interactions, integrate moderated communities.
I never checked out Urbit and barely know what it is. Where do I go to see his avatar thing?
Sure. But when is that a use case?
Latest: https://www.chateau.community/wiki/naddr1qvzqqqrcvgpzqesd33ux28msfplvnwxac2p7988j2ctf8hdrhgjx607nczxmkuyrqqx8xarjd9hxwttrdakx7usdljg6f Wrote this last year too: Implementations are live in Zapstore and Wisp: https://github.com/zapstore/webapp/blob/main/src/lib/utils/color.js I tried this existing standard too but don't find the colors work well enough: https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0392.html
Yup, interoperable moderation for communities is where I see Nostr's use case. I need a Community that: - is a keypair ( ID and authority ) - can announce the.content types it handles (forum, app releases, chat rooms, white boards, tasks, etc...) - can categorize profiles and use those categories for access to write/read in the different content sections - allows for things like apps, videos and articles to be targeted at more than one community I don't care about websockets and relays etc... But I do think keypairs + signed JSON + a simple to run community server is a good fit for my need. Especially for what we are doing in Zapstore. If you know of a better, simpler way 👉 lemme know!
Great!
That's what I meant yes. Gotta look into Iroh key pairs now, ok. What does Peergos use btw?
