Living "in fear" - sure. Living "with" fear as an emotion you let into your life is a different thing.

I don't think I'm the "modal" Nostrich here on this issue but TBH I really like being in cities. I hate having to drive everywhere, and love having easy access to cultural amenities, economic opportunities, medical care & etc. Honestly it's an inversion of my attitude to online spaces, where I'm willing to tolerate the low population density and SW bugs because I can "breathe the free air" of owning my own identity and nsec. Total respect to these projects though, I'm very curious and I'd love to visit some time. Perhaps my attitude will change at a later life stage.

Blockforge is still fascinating to me. I've never been excited about an "airdrop" before but I'm totally into this one. Big disappointment though that despite using the Nostr network to propagate data they still have 0 presence here.

Yeah I think that's kinda "their whole thing"... Listening to talk about it on his podcast, it's trying to create the sort of fun and spontaneity of Vine before everything became staged and airbrushed, etc.

Soo as I understand it their anti-AI thing uses metadata that is signed by your phone hardware, to prove that "this was a video taken and not AI."

"I'm afraid of negative outcomes for my actions" isn't "stupidity", it's entirely rational. Should you live in fear as a main driver for your life? Absolutely not of course. This reminds me of Green Lantern, where the "yellow lantern" (Sinestro) corps is powered by Fear. They start off as antagonists, but as the saga progresses there's a bit of a reappraisal of them as being a valid and needed part of the "emotional spectrum"....

Fear serves a purpose. Without it people will do stupid things. "I have no fear so I'm betting my life savings on whether Trump says Banana at the State of the Union".... etc
