22. Kori Bustard Kori bustard The Kori Bustard is the largest flying bird native to Africa and part of the bustard family. It has a large body, with males reaching up to 20kg in weight – making it one of the heaviest living animals capable of flight. The Kori Bustard is omnivorous and feeds on i, small lizards, seeds, fruit and even carrion if available. Their feathers are mostly brownish grey while their heads have black stripes running over them which makes them easily identifiable when seen in its natural habitat.
