It's what Mexio city used to be before the colonizers showed up. They've since drained the lake... It'd be nice to bring it back. Picture Venice but with pyramids. Floating gardens called chinampas... It was one of the most densely populated places on earth per square foot at the time. Multiple bridges connecting the lake's perimeter to the artificial island in the center, with two enormous bridges that doubled as aqueducts since the lake water was salty... Huge central pyramids in the middle, multiple universities, schools, market places etc... If it was around today it would be one of the great wonders of the world.
