Two letters arrived from the council this morning. First to inform that Council Tax is going up to £3.7K pa. Second, that bin collection frequency is going down to once every 3 weeks. Highly emblematic of the UK's decline in services and increase in taxes.

London day with the family today. Surprised to see no major chaos or criminal behaviour in the slightest. Luxury areas like Mayfair and Covent Garden were buzzing with high consumption. Still plenty of people with more money than sense around it seems. Shoreditch/Old Street on a Saturday evening seemed very quiet though, practically dead. 10-15 years ago it would have been heaving.

Off to a Kids Story Festival with local authors and OS Maps pub walk with the boys. Done some digging and shouldn't be any Tranny story tellers but watch this space. Will push back if I see any of that BS.
