Every day, millions of people lose their savings through fraud, scams, identity theft, and financial manipulation in fiat currencies. The Coldcard Bitcoin drain is extremely painful. Every lost bitcoin matters. But one incident does not prove Bitcoin is broken. Hard truth for Bitcoiners: self-custody comes with responsibility. Security, education, and vigilance are part of the journey. Protect your keys. Stay humble. Stack sats. Criminals thrive in the shadows. Bitcoin brings the light. Every attack makes us stronger, every lesson makes us wiser. The thieves will adapt. So will we.🧡

i dont have a raspiblitz but i guess it uses linux to create the seed which seems to be fine.

So far so good. The code is open source. Add a passphrase if you want even more security.

A lot of people underestimate how secure software wallet entropy can be. A Bitcoin seed does not become secure because it is generated on a hardware device. It becomes secure because the randomness behind it is strong. Modern Linux systems use a cryptographically secure random number generator (CSPRNG) that collects entropy from multiple system sources and produces unpredictable random data. Wallets like LND rely on this foundation when creating their seeds. The real security question is not: “Hardware wallet or software wallet?” The better question is: “Was the entropy generation secure, and is the private key protected afterwards?” A properly generated LND seed has an enormous security margin. The biggest risks are usually not the RNG itself, but operational mistakes: * exposing the seed * poor backups * malware * compromised devices Hardware wallets reduce certain attack surfaces, but they are not magical. Their security still depends on trustworthy entropy generation and good implementation.

And on the other hand we gonna use kimi k3 to step up the security. good vs bad. thats life

my LN node doesn't lie. interest in bitcoin has exploded over the last few days. the spring is wound — and it's loading.

Bitbox02 = mostly open source. Coldcard ditched that. It's tragic. Read the post correctly. There is no 100 percent security. If you roll the dice a 100 times + adding passphrase nothing would've happened. It's fraud and it's painful. People around the world loose their savings in fiat and gold day in day out too. We have a lot of bad people out there!

So siehts aus. E Auto, eigener Strom, selbst hosten, usw. einfach nicht mehr mitmachen. Wo es nur geht

from my understanding they can guess that by checking all the txs. so basically it's not safe! move funds asap if you use 2 of 3 multisig with 2 coldcards. 1 coldcard, 1 trezor and 1 jade should be safe.

too general. we need a way bigger impact on another huge sell off. give me some infos to convince me

run a routing node and you have some market insights. lightning volume says 🆙

marksn

multisig is worthless if you used 2 coldcards of 3 devices
