Traditional finance is to have 3 to 6 months of expenses in cash. I think the modern take should be to build 6 months in cash then slowly transition to bitcoin over a few years until you carry only 1 month of cash and the rest in bitcoin. Just sell your bitcoin if you need to and realize you are comparing your gains against yield on cash in the bank not investments.
