ai was clumsy, slow, and embarrassing right up ‘til the start of 2024. devs used it in secret and quietly, not wanting anyone to know. i even know some who stripped out ai generated comments so the code wouldn’t look machine made. but by early 2025 everything changed. now it’s embarrassing not to use it. that lost time once spent on boilerplate and repetition is now reclaimed for creativity, deep thinking, and real problem solving. some companies like salesforce have already replaced over 30% of their devs with ai. that number will only grow. human devs are becoming debuggers until this job is also not needed and irrelevant. the code is no longer written, it’s generated. the idea that we had to invent special languages just to talk to machines was always flawed and wrong anyway. that era is ending. english is becoming the most powerful and efficient programming language we’ve ever created. get used to it. stop whining.

i see so much whining of devs complaining about the advancement in ai. probably these complaints are just echoes of denial before acceptance sets in. ai will only get better from here. learn how to become a superhuman or get replaced by an average dev who actually knows how to debug stuff and becomes a super dev using these tools.

ok last ai thought of the night, i promise: singularity begins when we erase the word “interface” from our language. as we merge with ai, the separation dissolves. no need for screens, keyboards, commands or even the very user experience that we know of. the word itself admits the gap — inter-face — a face between. but in the end, there will be none. it becomes faceless.

If you're running a company, encourage your employees to use ai openly (not hide it) as much as possible and encourage them to be proud of it. it's the only way your company will survive.

i originally thought likes were unnecessary on nostr. now i think they seriously hurt the core functioning of nostr. nostr will suffer as long as the like button stays on clients by default.
