Arch is the end game of distro hopping for most of us. Beyond that, it's something like gentoo or LFS if you want to dig even deeper into how stuff works. But arch, IMHO, is the best way to build a custom system with minimum hastle, learn how Linux works, and have time left over to read a book or not neglect your children.

"Sovereignty requires effort." I like that. Whenever I talk to friends and associates about this kind of stuff, aside from looking at me like I'm crazy, they tell me they don't have the time to learn about the tools. So I guess the follow up is, "Effort takes time."
