Can you recommend a good adroid wallet that would connect to your node then?
primal.net maybe? For blogging check out highlighter.com
Search still doesn't work though? Also what I would expect from this, since it is supposed to be a "site", is that it would get indexed on search indexes, but I can't find the site on google for example (even after months). Good thing I had this one site I liked in my browser history, otherwise I would never find it. And even today, If I type in the exact site name in the search, nothing comes up.\ \ Still an awesome project! I'm sure it will get better with time!
Do you also run your own monero node, or do you just use lightwallets? Im looking for a good solution to test out a full note at home + phone wallet that connects to the node...

I set up a new umbrel with knots, syncing nicely. But on another umbrel that already had core, it doesn't look like its a drop in replacement, as a test I tried to run knots in parallel, but it started syncing from 0, so I guess umbrel assignes a different datadir. I have to test this a bit more, but it looks like if I uninstall the Bitcoin (core) app it will also delete the blockchain and knots will then just start syncing from scratch...
I think you are right, the main issue I see is that we don't really have a mature well maintained alternative bitcoin implementation. Knots is just a fork of core, maintained by basically one guy (also with ego issues imo), so its not a long term solution, unless it attracts more developers. I will probably also start running knots, just to signal the disagreement, but then what, lets say core "apologizes", we all switch back to core and wait for the next dispute again. I really like libbitcoin, since its a total rewrite and an actual alternative, but its still not a full user friendly implementation... so yeah, idk to be honest 😅
#asknostr Where are we on the whole #bitcoin core is evil #opreturn situation. Which bitcoin version is cool to run now? :)
do you maybe know if knots can just replace core (without resync, modifications to bitcoin.conf, etc...)?
