New computer have arrived. Will spend the evening after work on hooking up and getting Linux installed. Taking over the new house tomorrow. Exciting! Wont move until after easter. Mining update February: The cabin was kept at a nice 12-16 degrees celcius. This is alot warmer than usual, and more than necessary. But here are the numbers. I used 720 kWh on the miner. It mined for 21 days. (Dident start untill 07.02) At 650sats/day is 13650 sats I paid 0,85kr/kWh (0,09$ish) Power total 612kr (62$ish) Sats are worth 95kr (10$ish) If i needed all heat produced anyways it would be a 16%ish discount on my heating bill. The machine cost 40$. Down paid for in 4months Rest as they say is history I was gonna run an S9 with only 2 boards at the cabin for march, so as to now produce as much excess heat. But now…. This very moment. I lost communication with a temp sensors. And i was gonna send it up there tomorrow with my wife, so she could plug it in when she left on sundag. Anyways. Not gonna happen now. Anyone with experience fixing hashbords? This is an 8 year old machine. For next to nothing. Trash for the professionals. I can only imagine what the numbers are like for the newer models and machines. Like the Avalon Q, been drooling at this. If anyone know anyone at Avalon. I want one. Short update on the node venture. My old pc is not well. I did a new format and reinstalled Linux, started the pruned node all over again and is now syncing. Estimate it will take a couple of days. New computer is on the wish list! Starting a move to a new house in just over a month, i might even have room there for a dedicated mining/node/nerd cave. Cant wait. New computer is on its way. Second hand. Bought is from a young man upgrading his setup. RTX 3080. Ryzen 9 5900x. 1TB nvme. Rainbow color fans… typical gaming setup! I will try to kill the lights, im too old for that! And as always, a deal was made with 100% trust given from both parties. The one thing i really love about Norway is the amount of trust we have for one another. And misuse of this trust is so rare. Good people everywhere! Cant wait to get it running. Update on the node. Taking for ever! But is still creeping up. Like 0,2 0-3 % pr day. Amazingly slow. I will not quit. My patiens is infinite. The old computer will struggle to finish its task. But it will do good as a designated node maskin. Sure is not got for anything else. Taking on an extra week of on call duty at work. Fri-fri. Starts tomorrow. The FIAT grind is real. Pays well. I will solo mine with this one. Cost me about 75$ to get and a buck or so a month to run. For me it is about getting into the space, doing the work, setting up, learning and feeling the etos of Bitcoin. And for me kidz to see, to ask questions and to see what the future holds.

The Bitaxe Gamma is up and Solo mining. Got a spot under the TV. Hopefully the wife approves, atleast untill we make our move and i get my dedicated space. I love the Gamma. It looks super cool.
