When you havent bought Bitcoin for 6 days.

Im rebuilding my old machine with the guts from an Alienware X51. Not state of the art, but about twice the machine i had. Goal is to make it a full Bitcoin node machine. My idea now is to take scrap computers, build them with atleast 1,5 TB of space, linux OS and a full Bitcoin node installed. I want to see if i can sell them as nodemachines for like 10-15 bucks. Just to get more people running nodes!

I got the machine to run in its new house. Had to change the CMOS battery. Wonder if the previous owner got rid of it because of such a minor thing. It came with a 1 TB HDD, and i had a 500GB HDD in there before. Was hoping for a SATA, ill manage. But1,5TB should allow for some more blocks to fit. Anyway. It starts and runs. Will hook up a screen tomorrow, and if it is truly alive, then it will become what all machines dream of from the day they are built. The old computer is getting gutted. I got hold of an old Alienware X51. Dont know if it works. If it does it should still an OK machine. Dont have a powercable for it. So i am installing the guts into my old cabinet so i can use the standard PSU. Wish me luck! #scrapbuild #nodemachine #free
