Checking out as a possible hosting solution for people. 👀 Haven't checked out the site for a while but I think it might be what I've been looking for Nostr users to self host their music.

Glad it finally updated and thanks again for checking out the site. Now that I have the site built and stable I do need to make any updated guide for new users.

Sorry about the confusion. You want to download the xml and host it with your art and audio like you said then take whatever url that is and paste that into the podping section at the bottom to update it on podcastindex.org so apps can see it. Also I see a feed you saved to MSP Hosting and the art doesnt seem to be showing up and I get and error when I go to the url for art but the audio is fine. Your split for [email protected] is set to 0 also so your not getting anything. Everything else look good.

You enter your lightning info and I pop the splits in with an explanation and a big X to remove it. You can also send me more than 1% if you want to. 😝

I've been playing around with an "easy mode" for musicsideproject.com but while doing it people have been using the current version without issue so requiring users to host their own media might be the best balance. That's what MSP has always been about. It's just a RSS feed creation tool and it's been doing just fine as that for years now. All I really did was update the UI and the PC 2.0 spec stuff under the hood so it's still a cutting edge self hosting tool like it's always been. The sites completely free to use and I just suggest a split for me and the podcastindex which funny enough was opt in and people told be to make it opt out because I deserved a split. The splits not even about the amount but the joy of getting it and knowing that means an artists just received a payment.

Thanks for the mention! Thanks for the mention! all you need is somewhere to host your files online. Then just fill out the form on my site, download the RSS feed it makes for you, save that where you already host your music files. When that's done return to my site, click the podping tab at the bottom, enter the url for the feed you just saved and you're all set. It's easier than it sounds but if you're talking about setting up a web store and are familiar with bandcamp you'll be fine and if you need any help just let me know.
