That is interesting. Thank you for explaining. Is it a cdn-like setup with caching?
When discussing the Bitcoin blockchain and its implementation, the terms legal, government or compliance are to be ignored completely, in my opinion. It was created to operate outside government control. Seems an attack to me.
I'm not familiar with Blossom servers, but I know they're used to serve media from for Nostr. In the slide it mentions distributed blobs. Does this means it uses the bitTorrent protocol?
So she wants to limit freedom of speech when it's about the Israeli government.
The development for the Linux kernel uses git and email. That is also aan option if or when Github goes rogue.
How does that work? Let's say you have an internet connection and bluetooth on in a country that is not Jamaica, how would you be able to connect with people in Jamaica with Bitchat?
If they really want to protest, then they should all reject it and not use it.
And the whole of EU included.
Fuck, that sucks. I thought these were separate countries implementing this, besides the EU, but UN is almost the whole fucking world.
Maybe new tech: will make it antifragile.
Yee, I hear this all the time when discussing this with people. Their invested time in Bitcoin consists of reading msm articles. They don't know anything about PoW, the halving, decentralization. They actually think if banks collapse they'll get their money back. Some countries do have a special fund for this, but when this will happen, it's a matter of time,, a domino effect is probable and people will lose all their 'money' in their account.
Great video, very interesting!
I love it! How does Iroh fit into this?
This looks amazing! I don't know what they are and this looks like a very simple way to become familiar with it.
I agree. A blockchain comes with the possibility of 'spam'. It can't have security, scalability and decentralization. You can only choose 2. In he same way it probably doesn't make sense to filter 'spam'.
I think combining the 2 makes it even more powerful.

I'm looking forward to it :-)

Impressive! Good luck
Very inspiring Bitcoin adoption story.
I really like this idea. So it would be aan android phone with no sim card, wifi off and airplane mode on. Because it's offline, you don't need to update the android version I assume, but then again, vulnerabilities aren't fixed with updates.
I wish I learned about stoicism when I was young. Could have helped so much.
This is very inspiring!
Most people will go along. They'll first capture people into their CBDC and after that very slowly introduce these sick constraints like a frog in a boiling pot. The only way is to live somewhere CBDCs are not used, in my opinion.
If I'm switching then I need to download an insane amount of albums, but in the end it's probably the better option. I can imagine that a full kyc or digital id would be required to keep using Spotify.
That sounds terrible. The masses will probably embrace this cheap crap where everything you see is made up, manipulates you and changes your behavior in s negative way.
🤣
What a great story! It also sounds tasty, so I'll probably make this during Christmas.
Nothing more to add.
