ATLA is an amazing show, and almost certainly my favorite animated series. It has a well-written story, fun action, and is family-friendly to boot. I didn’t enjoy Korra or the live-action movie. Korra’s storyline just wasn’t as well written, in my opinion, and the live-action movie was bad in a lot of ways. We did enjoy the newer animated movie, but as a family, we felt like the story was rushed. We haven’t watched the live-action Netflix series yet. We’ll likely watch the new series, but we’ve been let down before, so we’re going into it without very high expectations.
