I've tested rumble without an ad blocker, there are ads and they're pretty bad, not sure who their ad network provider is but they can't be high CPM payers

And I'm with you on the whole investing in 3rd party platforms, especially since no one archives their stuff anywhere else, that's one of the reasons i'm here and gave up on Twitter I get reach is still the incentive and people prefer chasing numbers over quality of connection

I work remotely/wfh so I already have a disgusting amount of screen time in general so I try to get out when possible and work at a shared office or coffee shop or from clients offices! I play soccer every week, go running or hiking and gym to keep my sanity and on rest days i'll go hang out on the beach or go watch live sport (rugby, soccer, cricket) with friends Also trying to expand now going to Bitcoin meetups and finding some new like minded people!

I guess it's just the first platform with some semblance of scale offering bitcoin and in general offered a place for those who aren't favoured in YouTubes algo! all social media is centralised, there's not a chance people are going to self host anything at any meaningful scale or pay for their storage kinda business model Apart from Bitcoin/money i'm not sure there's much of a business model to decentralise something.
