This was it for me. I was so much more pissed off when I didn’t know why things were the way they were and I thought I’d be broke forever. Once I could grasp the economic consequences of bitcoin and realized a prosperous future could be achieved through working hard and saving, my entire worldview switched.

Alright that makes a little more sense. To me it looked like the agent heard “gun” and saw him going for his holster when he shot but that’s at least a coherent argument. I think the fact this guy was injured with a broken rib from a confrontation earlier that week shows he was doing anything he could to instigate a reaction. Bringing a gun and fighting cops is not a good way to get my sympathy haha.

Do you honestly interpret that man going and grabbing a police officer while he is in a different physical altercation as “exercising his 1st and 2nd amendment”. I’ve carried a gun my entire life with the knowledge that if I go and seek out a physical altercation with police while armed I’m going to get shot.

Equating conquering a land and building a civilization to playing the eternal victim and sucking a nation dry of its resources, all while offering nothing in return, is ridiculous on its face. These people are going to realize that the time of these ridiculous comparisons having any effect is largely over. The people are catching on.

Reminds me of the story of Davy Crockett and his constituent Horatio Bunce. While a representative for the house, Davy voted to appropriate $20k for a town that got burned down in the middle of winter. Horatio lambasted him saying “it’s not yours to give” an argument that would be totally dismissed today. He ended up changing Davy’s mind with his argument.
